1 Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you use The Clearing, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to never sell your personal information.

2 Information we collect

We collect what you give us — your name and email when you contact us, subscribe, or create an account, and billing details (processed by our payment provider) if you become a member. We also collect basic usage data such as pages viewed and device type.

3 How we use it

To provide and improve the Service, respond to you, process membership, send the communications you ask for, and keep the Service secure. We don’t use your information to sell you insurance or steer you toward a plan — that’s not our business.

4 Fern & your conversations

Fern is designed so each session starts fresh and does not build a personal profile from your chats. Please don’t enter Social Security numbers, Medicare numbers, account numbers, passwords, or full medical records. Describe your situation in general terms — that’s all Fern needs.

5 Sharing

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example, payment and email providers) under appropriate confidentiality terms, or when required by law.

6 Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7 Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, request access to or deletion of your information, and manage your account settings. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8 Security, children & changes

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method is perfectly secure. The Service isn’t directed to children under 18. We may update this policy; material changes are reflected by the “last updated” date above. Questions? Contact us.
