Founding access opens Early August. The Clearing is opening to a small group of founding members. The founding rate is $29/month and covers up to three people in one household. The rate you join at is the rate you keep for as long as you remain a member.
Member-funded, not commission-funded. Just clearer questions before bigger decisions.
We'll send one quiet note before founding membership opens to everyone — and you'll get first access. No sales calls, no pressure.
What founding membership includes
Ask Medicare questions in plain English and get help sorting what matters, what to verify, and what to ask next.
Work through a decision before it gets rushed — tools for:
Membership covers up to three people in one household, so a spouse, partner, or adult child can help without starting from zero.
Founding members receive a digital copy of Take Your Time, The Clearing's plain-English Medicare decision guide.
Come back when a plan notice arrives, a prescription or doctor changes, a bill looks wrong, a parent needs help, or Annual Enrollment opens.
How it works
The Clearing is built around the moment you're actually in.
Ask in plain English — no scripts or jargon required.
See whether it's timing, cost, access, plan-change risk, or a question to verify.
Walk into Medicare, SHIP, a broker, a doctor's office, or a plan call with clearer questions.
Return to one steady place instead of rebuilding your understanding every year.
Where The Clearing fits
The Clearing isn't here to replace every Medicare resource. You may still use Medicare.gov, a SHIP counselor, a licensed agent, a broker, your employer benefits office, a financial advisor, or a paid concierge service — and any of those may be exactly right for a particular moment.
The difference is that The Clearing helps you arrive with your own footing. You're not starting from zero, and you're not relying entirely on the person across the table to define the decision for you. You know what kind of choice you're making, what to verify, and where the tradeoffs sit — whether you choose Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, a supplement, a broker, a public counselor, or a paid advisor. The point isn't to make the choice for you. It's to help you make it with your eyes open.
Why this is paid
There are free Medicare resources worth using, and paid concierge services that suit people who want a high-touch advisor. The Clearing sits in a different place: not a sales funnel, not a four-figure concierge service, but a member-funded preparation layer — a calmer place to understand your situation, use the tools, ask better questions, and return when something changes. We don't sell insurance, rank plans, or earn commissions. That means there's nowhere we need you to end up. Member funding is what keeps The Clearing pointed at your understanding instead of your enrollment.
Covers up to three people in one household. Your founding rate stays locked for as long as you remain a member.

A note from Dan
"I started The Clearing because Medicare was taking up more room than it should. The goal isn't to make every decision easy — some decisions deserve care. It's to make the next step clearer, keep the facts in one place, and give people and families a calmer way to move forward. The Clearing is member-funded because I wanted the help to stay pointed at your understanding, not your enrollment."
